Young Lib Dem Social Meet & Greet
Join us for a relaxed Young Lib Dem Social Meet & Greet, hosted by the Bridgwater, Burnham & West Somerset Lib Dems.

This is a great opportunity to meet other young members and supporters, have a chat about local and national issues, and get to know like-minded people in an informal setting.

We’ll be gathering at The Cornhill, Bridgwater, where a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase, along with snacks.

Please bring some pocket money if you’d like to buy refreshments during the evening.

Whether you’re already involved or just curious to learn more, you’ll be very welcome.

To be a Young Lib Dem, you must meet the below criteria:

• Are under the age of 30;
• A student

Notice: If you are under the age of 16, please attend with a parent, carer, guardian, or other responsible adult.

Join us on Thursday the 7th May, at Victoria Park Community Centre (a family friendly venue) for a round table talk on SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

With Somerset Council Cllr Heather Shearer: Lead member for children, families and education.

Light refreshments are availible from the cafe within the venue upon purchase.

Conference Dinner:

• Tickets for the Conference Dinner can be purchased during checkout.

An Evening with Tom Gordon MP: Reflections from Ukraine

In February, Tom Gordon MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough travelled to Ukraine as part of a cross-party delegation of Members of Parliament. During the visit, he met with local government representatives and military leaders, gaining first-hand insight into the ongoing realities faced by communities across the country. The delegation also attended a commemorative service in Kyiv marking the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion.

This special evening event offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from Tom about his experiences on the ground, the conversations he had with Ukrainian leaders, and the resilience he witnessed throughout his visit. He will share personal reflections and provide context on the current situation, followed by an open Q&A session where attendees are invited to ask questions and engage in discussion.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Harrogate District of Sanctuary, supporting their work to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for people seeking sanctuary.
